Infektionsepidemiologi. Vaccinologi. National epidemiologisk overvågning af infektioner samt vaccinationstilslutning (herunder determinanter for vaccination) og effekt og sikkerhed af vaccinationsprogrammer.

Har flere års erfaring fra store befolkningsbaserede forskningsprojekter i udviklingslande med fokus på at øge forståelsen for naturhistorien af og i at forbedre behandlingen af episoder med diarre og lungebetændelse.
